Luckily one interior design pro has shared her DIY hack to making a luxe-looking light – and it’ll cost you less than £15.
Camilla Bakken, known online as @design_logg, regularly shares DIY and interior design inspiration with her 178,000 followers.
In one of her latest videos, the savvy mum shares how she turns two basic IKEA items into a luxe-looking light.

During the reel, the content creator can be seen turning an IKEA KARAFF glass jar, costing just £1.50, and a BLANDA glass bowl, priced at £2.50 into a light.
Camellia starts by showing how fans can use either a wired lightbulb or a battery-powered LED light inside.
These are available to purchase from multiple retailers, including Amazon, with prices starting at £12.99.
Next, she covers the outside of both the bowl and glass jar with cling film and tapes it into place.

She then sprays the inside of both with gravel spray paint. This is available from various retailers, including Hobbycraft, and prices start from just £8.
She lets them dry, and then removes the cling film, before placing the LED light inside.
