Strictly Come Dancing professional Anton Du Beke, 54, has previously said it was love at first sight with Hannah Summers, 45, who he met at an event she attended last minute. Discussing their relationship, she recalled Anton’s fears about her not wanting to be seen with him.

Hannah, I’m used to people wanting to be seen with me

At first, Hannah began by saying she wasn’t apprehensive about dating somebody in the public eye because she didn’t crave a glamorous lifestyle aged 36 at the time.

Recalling their first official date, she went on to say she took him to a “deserted” coffee shop away from her home.

“Then you asked me out for dinner,” she added, telling listeners they ended up being the only couple at the restaurant.

In another weird  coincidence, Hannah said the pair were the only people in another eatery when they went out for lunch.

The Strictly star’s wife continued: “On our fourth date, he said, ‘Hannah, I’m used to people wanting to be seen with me’.

“‘I’m quite worried you don’t want to be seen with me,’” she added, laughing.

Consciously Coupling podcast host Johnnie Walker then asked how she dealt with him being on Strictly Come Dancing and getting up close with other females.

“It’s brilliant,” Anton jokingly chimed in.

Hannah explained: “Do you know what again I think age helps, there are two things on that.

“I’ve sort of got to an age now where you think, well if they want to be with you, they want to be with you, otherwise don’t.

“I wouldn’t advise anyone with a jealous disposition naturally to go out with a dancer, because they’re tactile.

“The majority of the time they are naked or in their pants between shows, they’ve all got glorious bodies.”

Anton and Hannah tied the knot in 2017 and welcomed their twins George and Henrietta via IVF in the same year.

The couple have previously opened up about their IVF journey and Hannah’s endometriosis battle.

The latter said she had told Anton about her endometriosis pretty early on in their relationship as it was “hard to hide”.

She explained to Lorraine Kelly on her show: “It was one of those things where on a monthly basis, I looked like I was six months pregnant.

“One of the side effects is obviously the pain, but I had tremendous swelling.

“I was one of those women who was most asked that dreaded question, ‘When’s it due?’

“And I never got pregnant,” she added, as Anton laughed beside her.

The dancer will return to Strictly Come Dancing when it returns to BBC later this year.
