Eagle-eyed fans knew Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik were expecting way before the pregnancy news broke. Hollywood’s skincare guru says his celebrity clients are desperate for their precious Botox and fillers amid the coronavirus lockdown. And Crossfit co-founder Lauren Jenai’s wedding is still happening – even while her fiancé is on house arrest.
Here’s a closer look at today’s stories:
Gigi’s ‘revealing’ party
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are expecting their first baby, and fans speculate that Gigi’s 25th birthday party may have doubled as a gender reveal party. The clues, they say, include the colors of balloon strings.
Yolanda Hadid shared a photo on Instagram of her daughter Gigi holding a “2” balloon that had blue strings and a “5” balloon that had pink strings.
“WHAT IF THE REASON SHE’S HOLDING THE BLUE STRING WITH ZAYN IS BECAUSE THEY’RE HAVING A BOY,” one person commented on Twitter.
Another fan also pointed out on Twitter that gift bags at the party said “Hello Little One” on the front, which further fueled speculation that they were also hosting a gender reveal party. Gigi’s sister, Bella Hadid, conveniently covered the front of the bags with a sunflower emoji.
It turned out that the couple is having a baby girl, according to TMZ. Reps for Hadid and Malik didn’t get back to us.
Desperate for their Botox fix
Hollywood’s skincare guru is being flooded with calls from his clients who can’t get their Botox and fillers during coronavirus lockdown.
Dr. Harold Lancer, who looks after some of the biggest names in the biz, from Victoria Beckham to Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian West, tells Page Six Style he even has a client who gave herself second-degree burns trying to give herself a face peel at home.
No matter how well — or how badly — Botox and fillers are applied, they only last for four months.
“I’m getting around 20-45 calls a day coming through to my nurses for a variety of cosmetic and medical issues,” said the renowned dermatologist. “The majority of my clients are high-profile people, whether in entertainment or politics and they require a lot of care, but most of the people I see are extremely disciplined about home skincare. It’s about ensuring care when you can’t see patients for long spurts of time.”
Wedding bells and house arrests
CrossFit co-founder Lauren Jenai and her fiancé Franklin Tyrone Tucker are still making their wedding happen — even while Tucker’s under house arrest.
“We are eager to get married, and we don’t know when life is going to be normal again, so we decided that we were just going to go ahead and just do something special from home,” Jenai told Page Six.
They’ll tie the knot June 26, and “we’ll keep it really special, pretty low-key, just our household members.” To officiate, “we’ll have a friend who can come in and stand 6 feet away.” The guest list “pretty much has to be household members,” since local rules dictate that “any group over 10 is illegal.”
Jenai — who reportedly sold her CrossFit shares for $20 million as part of her divorce from the brand’s co-founder and CEO, Greg Glassman, in 2013 — continues to her fight to free Tucker. A long-lost high school friend, he’s been incarcerated in Florida for two years awaiting trial in a case dubbed the “tree house murder.” While Jenai adamantly defended his innocence, romance blossomed, and they got engaged. In the fall, she got him out on a $2 million bond. Now he’s living in Jenai’s home in Oregon.
