The Goop founder is putting her ‘worst ever’ Academy Awards dress under the hammer to raise money for the Covid-19 relief efforts amid the global pandemic.

AceShowbizGwyneth Paltrow is giving fans the opportunity to own a dress labelled one of her worst ever, as part of the All-In initiative to aid the fight against the coronavirus.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, April 17, 2020, the “Avengers: Endgame” actress revealed that she’ll be auctioning off the silver Calvin Klein dress that she wore to the 72nd Academy Awards ceremony in 2000.

In a clip that appeared to have been filmed in her kitchen, the 47-year-old said, “There are so many millions of people in this country who are deeply affected by the COVID crisis. We are going to be in for a period of difficulty. We all really need to band together.”

Of the dress, she added, “It was a hand-beaded Calvin Klein dress. I wore it to the Oscars the year after I won. It’s very end-of-the-’90s, which is back in style now, so I thought it would be a good one to donate.”

Though she says the outfit has “sentimental value,” the star wasn’t always a big fan of the dress, and in 2013, she included it in a blog post dedicated to some of her worst fashion moments for her lifestyle website Goop.

The opening bid was set at $2,500, and the dress quickly got up to $4,400, with more than six days to go.

Kevin Hart, Will Ferrell, Meek Mill, and Justin Bieber are also among those fronting hang-out offerings for the cause while Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro have made headlines by offering one lucky fan to chance to join them on the set of their next Martin Scorsese movie.

Meanwhile, singer Pink will offer a private aerial lesson for the winning bidder and rapper Megan Thee Stallion has put a music video cameo up for grabs.

All donations will benefit various charities aiding the fight against the coronavirus. The full list of auctions is here.
