Kate Middleton has revealed that her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, beg her to “please stop taking photographs” in a sweet new video.

The Duchess of Cambridge's love of photography is well-documented and official pictures released to celebrate the Cambridges' family milestones, such as birthdays, are often taken by Kate.

Last year, she launched a photography contest, called Hold Still, and in a YouTube video which sees her meet one of the finalists, Kate admits her children aren't always willing portrait subjects.

In the sweet clip, Kate praises entrant Ceri Edwards and her emotional photograph, showing her daughter Poppy hugging her father Mark before his shift as a paramedic, which Kate hailed for its “strength, courage and resilience”.

The Duchess then asks Ceri if she considers herself a photographer, to which she replies: “No…. Well, Mark would say otherwise just because I do take a lot of pictures of the family.”

Laughing, Kate responds: “It's like me. Everyone's like, 'Mummy, please stop taking photographs'.”

Royal photographer Matt Porteous previously said Kate is "an amazing photographer," revealing they both "share tips on location and talked about light, settings and styles.”

“Catherine has an amazing eye for photos so will always point us in the right direction for light and backdrops," he told Hello!.

He continued: “Catherine has an incredible eye for style, she knows what will look best in these scenes which makes my life easy.”

Kate previously met five-year-old Mila and her mother Lynda Sneddon, whose photograph was used in the Hold Still book, over Zoom.

During their sweet chat, Mila told Kate about her favourite colour and the mum-of-three took note – vowing to wear a pink dress for a future face to face meeting.

The Duchess of Cambridge fulfilled her promise and opted for a bright pink shirt-style dress as she finally met the little girl, who underwent chemotherapy after being diagnosed with leukaemia, on the last day of her and Prince William's Scotland tour.

Mila sweetly wore pink to match Princess Kate.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's official Twitter account posted a sweet snap of the pair sitting on a sofa together.

The tweet read: “It was so lovely to host Mila in her beautiful pink dress for tea at the Palace of Holyroodhouse today #HoldStill2020.

“The Duchess spoke with Mila last Autumn after her photograph was chosen to feature in the #HoldStill2020 project.”
