The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated their ten year wedding anniversary this week with an unprecedented video showing scenes of family life.
Now it has emerged that hidden within the footage of them with their three children, Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five and three-year-old Louis, was a touching link to Princess Diana.
An eagle eyed royal megafan replied to the family video on Twitter pointing out the fact that they were on Holkham Beach, a destination that Diana visited regularly when she was young.
“Just an FYI this film was taken last Autumn, and was filmed in Amner and at the beach down the road from them, the same beach Diana went to growing up and the same beach Charles & Anne played sandcastles on,” they wrote.
To which a fellow royalist replied saying: “Oh thank you! I enjoyed this bit of family history. To have a beach so close is a dream.”
“Now their Royal Highnesses Cambridge' will make their family memories. Video gave such joy,” they continued. “When Catherine laughs or smiles, her eyes are full of true joy. Eyes are mirror to our souls.”
“Seems like a lovely place to be honest with you, pretty,” another beamed. “And hopefully private, as it appears to be, allowing the young family some freedom, that we have ourselves to, so easily enjoy!”
“Where they can be their unadulterated selves with peace, happiness & contentment,” they finished.
Diana was herself born in Norfolk, where her oldest son now lives with his family. She went to school at Riddlesworth Hall near Diss, and maintained strong links to the region.
The Princess of Wales returned to the area multiple times throughout her life, often with her sons in tow.
On Thursday William and Kate shared their family video on Twitter alongside the message: “Thank you to everyone for the kind messages on our wedding anniversary. We are enormously grateful for the 10 years of support we have received in our lives as a family. W & C”
It came amid a day of celebration for the family, as they marked a decade of marriage for the future king and queen.
Despite having a strained relationship, Prince Harry, 36, and Meghan Markle, 39, were among those to send their congratulations to William, 38, and Kate, 39.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reached out privately to the married couple.
This came days after William and Harry managed to put their differences aside to attend their grandfather, Prince Phillip’s funeral.
The brothers walked side by side as they left St George’s Chapel, then talking to Kate joining them after the service.
"It's fantastic to see Harry walking between Kate and William," body language expert Derek Heron told OK! exclusively.
"That's a huge acceptance. They are still close. There is still a massive brotherly bond there."
