Responding to health officials warning against touching your face to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, KFC has now decided to drop its signature “Finger Lickin’ Good” slogan. The fried chicken chain will be temporarily moving away from the phrase in its coming ads in response to the ongoing pandemic.
KFC’s global chief marketing officer Catherine Tan-Gillespie said, “We find ourselves in a unique situation — having an iconic slogan that doesn’t quite fit in the current environment.” According to reports, the 64-year-old catchphrase will be taking a break until “time is right.”
KFC also recently released a PSA/ad that features the drop of its signature “Finger Lickin’ Good” slogan above.
