Lovehoney is a British brand well-known for its vast selection of sex toys, from vibrators to rampant rabbits, as well as for its sexy lingerie range. Now, the brand will also be associated with the Royal Family as it has won one of Her Majesty’s most prestigious awards.

Queen Elizabeth has presented Lovehoney with an award for outstanding continuous growth in overseas sales over the last six years.

The Queen Award for Enterprise recognises Lovehoney’s impressive growth in sales, which have risen from £12million to £56million since 2015.

This is a whopping overall increase of 365 percent.

Described as “the highest accolade for business success”, the award enables Lovehoney to use the Queen’s Award emblem in advertising and marketing campaigns, as well as on its product packaging.

This means that Lovehoney fans can expect to see a logo featuring a crown and the words “The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise” on the front of boxes containing dildos, condoms, and even bondage accessories.

This is not the only time the sex toy company has received a prestigious award from the Queen.

In 2015, the brand received an award for boosting British exports, and its co-owners even met members of the Royal Family.

Richard Longhurst and Neal Slateford met and spoke to the Queen, Prince Philip, and other senior royals at a Buckingham Palace reception.

The brand owners were supposed to meet the Queen again this year at a garden party to celebrate award winners, but it may not be able to go ahead due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Debbie Bond, Chief Commercial Officer at Love Honey, commented on the company’s award.

She said: “We are thrilled to have received official recognition from the Queen.

“Her Majesty has been a wonderful supporter of Lovehoney as we have grown into being the world’s leading sexual wellness brand.”

Based in Bath, Love Honey is the UK’s biggest online adult retailer and has eight other websites globally, including in the US, Australia, Spain, Canada, and Germany.

The company has a customer base of 2.2million people and over 300 staff.

Impressively, Lovehoney is responsible for one in three sex toys sold in the UK, one of its most popular items being a 32-inch dildo named the “Great American Challenge”.

The brand was founded by Richard in 2002 and, in recent years, it has grown in popularity thanks to its collaborations with Fifty Shades of Grey author E.L. James.

Lovehoney has created several sex toy ranges with the best-selling novelist, and it will launch a new collection this year to celebrate the trilogy’s 10-year anniversary.
