Casualty’s latest loved-up couple, Will (Jack Nolan) and Fenisha (Olivia D’Lima), look to be blissfully happy at the start of tonight’s episode. They’re talking about holiday plans and Will even floats the idea of taking Fenisha to Ireland to ‘show her off’ to his family. The romance is most definitely blossoming.
But this is Casualty, so we know this much happiness can’t last. It doesn’t even last a whole day, as later the same morning Fenisha realises that her period is late – and after a ridiculous number of pregnancy tests she has to face the shocking truth that she’s pregnant.
Before she can start to get her head around that there’s work to be done, and she and Lev (Uriel Emil) are soon zooming off to a typically complex case involving a stolen car, an irate man and someone locked in a garage.
When Fenisha herself is injured while they’re trying to sort all this out, she ends up having to tell Will about the pregnancy. How will he take the news? And will Fenisha be ok?
When a patient is brought to the ED by ambulance, Jacob (Charles Venn) and Connie (Amanda Mealing) are shocked to discover it’s former beloved colleague Charlie Fairhead (Derek Thompson) – and he’s in a terrible state. He’s unshaven, unkempt, drunk and has apparently been sleeping rough.
Connie’s keen for his privacy to be maintained, which works about as well as you would expect. But her main problem is getting Charlie to agree to letting her help him. Still ravaged by the grief of losing Duffy, he’s angry and lashing out, and of course Charlie and Connie share a long and not entirely problem-free history.
Will he accept the help he so desperately needs, or will he push Connie away?
