Emmerdale's Kim Tate will "stop at nothing" to get revenge in upcoming scenes, soap producer Kate Brooks has revealed.

Recent months have seen Kim's (Claire King) memory start to slip away, as she consulted medical professionals to see if she was battling an illness.

Eventually, it emerged someone close to her has been secretly drugging her, dropping poison into her crystal-cut goblets of liquor each week.

The identity of the poisoner has yet to be revealed – all soap fans have seen is a close up of an anonymous hand contaminating the booze.

Emmerdale spoilers have revealed Kim is about to unmask her poisoner, learning who has been trying to take advantage of her through the twisted act.

Opening up about the chaos to come, producer Kate said: "We're used to seeing Kim really strong and powerful. She isn't known for her vulnerability.

"But over recent weeks we've seen Kim start to doubt not only her own sanity but doubting the people she loves most about who is about to bring about her downfall."

Kate revealed Kim will "stop at nothing" when it comes to standing her ground, but her actions could have dire consequences.

She went on: "As her paranoia reaches boiling point she'll stop at nothing to ensure that she catches the culprit responsible for trying to instigate the downfall of Kim Tate.

"But as with all best-laid plans sometimes they don't always go accordingly, and will Kim's plan to catch the person responsible for all of this bring about her own downfall and will she end up paying the ultimate price?"

Spoilers have also revealed Jamie Tate will go on an undercover mission at Will Taylor's house where he discovers a batch of drugs.

He lets Kim know about the discovery, leaving his mum devastated by the realisation her boyfriend might have malicious intentions.
