Rumours around who will be entering Gwrych Castle in Wales for the next season of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! have been swirling in the last few weeks.

From Ian Beale actor Adam Woodyatt to Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley, a series of high-profile celebrities have been tipped to take on Ant and Dec's brutal Bushtucker Trials.

While the exact date for the fan-favourite ITV programme hasn't been confirmed yet, it usually airs between November and early December.

Until then, there have been many reports on the line-up for the 2021 series. Here, we take a look at the celebs who could be going on the show…

Arlene Phillips

Former Strictly Come Dancing star Dame Arlene Phillips was the first person rumoured to be a contestant on the programme.

If true, Arlene would be the oldest celebrity to take part in the hit ITV show at 78 years old. She’ll take over the title as oldest contestant from Boris Johnson’s father, Stanley Johnson, who took part in 2017 when he was 77 years old.

A source told Mirror: “Arlene is strong and tough and her energy is boundless.

“No doubt she’ll have the group dancing around the campfire in a bid to beat the cold and keep morale high. Should be fun.”

Richard Madeley

TV presenter Richard Madeley, 65, addressed speculation he could be going into the castle next month after reportedly signing a £200,000 deal.

Speaking to co-host Susanna Reid, Richard did nothing to defuse the rumours as he explained: "I’m asked this every year, actually… and I usually give them an equivocal reply.

"And I’ve checked with ITV what they want me to say about it. Because I may be going in, or I may not be going in.”

He continued: “ITV quite like its people not to confirm or deny. Because I could be a hare that’s running in the race, or I could not be. I could be a distraction. And that’s, I’m afraid, where I have to leave it.”

Adam Woodyatt

EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt, 53, has reportedly joined the line-up.

He took some time away from the soap earlier this year and previously revealed his character won't be returning to Albert Square until 2022, giving him ample opportunity to head to the Welsh castle.

A source told The Sun: “Adam was a big target for the casting team — he is a soap legend and is certain to be a huge hit with fans.

“But they knew they might have their work cut out because he has been quite reticent to do interviews or reality TV shows in recent years.

“When you consider how long he has been a household name, he has only agreed to a handful of TV appearances outside of Albert Square.

“And he isn’t known for being a red carpet regular either.

“So it’s a huge coup to have reached this point, and everyone is very excited about having him on the show. He’s a brilliant addition.”

Cheryl Hole

According to The Sun, ITV producers want to cast a drag queen for the first time in the show's history after seeing the success of RuPaul's Drag Race.

Cheryl Hole, whose non-drag name is Luke Underwood, 27, is one of the few stars named to be in the running for it.

Bimini Bon-Boulash – Thomas Hibbitts, 28 – is also reportedly being considered.

“Casting directors want the most diverse I’m A Celeb line-up possible," an insider told the publication. “They’re keen to sign drag queens. They have big fanbases who would follow them to I’m a Celeb. A few names have been floated already."

They added: “Of course, they won’t be able to put on full make-up and will have to wear a uniform like the other campmates, but the addition will spice up the show. Lots of drag queens would love to do it.”

Jake Wood

EastEnders star Jake Wood, 49, is well known for his portrayal of Max Branning, is said to be heading into the castle this year.

A source told The Sun: "He would love to go into the jungle. He thinks it would be a great challenge for him and he has of course seen how well other EastEnders stars have done."

Meanwhile his pal Shane Richie, 57, hinted that he could be in isolation already in preparation for the show.

"I dropped Jake a text and he didn't reply so he could now be in isolation… but you didn't hear that from me," he told the publication.

Louise Minchin

BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin, 53, is reportedly being targeted by ITV bosses to take part in the show.

"There's a long tradition of reality TV shows targeting news presenters and I'm A Celebrity is no different," a source told The Sun.

They continued: "Victoria Derbyshire was on the show before and proved very popular with viewers.

"ITV are hoping they can do the same with Louise and have approached her about coming on board."

Vogue Williams

Model and DJ Vogue Williams addressed rumours she could be going on the show this year after speculation.

Speaking to the Irish Daily Mail, the 36 year old insisted she's "never been approached" to do the programme.

She continued: “I think I would be just terrible at that. I’m terrified of insects… wasps, so I think I’d actually be brutal at it.

“But I do think it’s a fun show. I think it’s always good to learn stuff.”

Tom Malone Jr

Gogglebox fan favourite Tom Malone Jr, 26, quit the show back in February this year, announcing that "new opportunities are knocking on the door and it’s time to explore them."

Now, it's been said he could be joining the I'm A Celeb line-up after he told his 313,000 Instagram followers that he would do it if asked.

He said: "Yeah sure, I think. I actually think that would be sick, and probably would be very fun."

Lucy Fallon

Former Coronation Street actress Lucy Fallon, who is known for playing Bethany Platt on the show, is currently 2/1 in bookies odds.

Since the 25 year old left her role in the soap opera in 2019, she's already tried her hand at reality TV as she's appeared in Don't Rock the Boat, which is hosted by Freddie Flintoff and AJ Odudu.

Matty Lee

Olympic gold medallist Matty Lee, who is also Tom Daley's diving partner, is reportedly "excited" to be joining the cast.

According to The Mirror, the 23 year old had become a "hot favourite" for show bosses following the Olympics Games this summer.

"Matty is young, strong and will thrive under the pressures of the challenges. He is really excited about getting on board and diving into the action," it was said.
