The latest episode of Normal People which aired on Monday night showed full-frontal nudity from both lead characters, Marianne and Connell.
The episode of the hit book adaption showed both Daisy Edgar-Jones, 21, who plays Marianne Sheridan, and Paul Mescal, 24, who plays Connell Waldron, completely naked at different points.
After reconnecting at Trinity College in Dublin after their secret romance in secondary school in Sligo came to a heartbreaking end, Marianne and Connell restart their relationship.

As the pair lie in bed after having sex, both actors are seen fully naked, as Marianne lovingly strokes Connell’s head.
Marianne also appears nude while posing for an intimate photograph for Connell during a weekend at home in Sligo.
Viewers watching at home took to Twitter to reveal the awkwardness of watching the passionate scenes with their parents.
One person wrote: “Even though I read the book over the weekend I still wasn't fully prepared for these sex scenes #NormalPeople."

Another viewers said: “Watching Normal People on BBC1 and *that* sex scene came on just as my dad walked into the room #awkward.”
A third person wrote: "I will have to pack my bags and move continents after watching that scene with my parents! I was not prepared for that in the slightest.”
And a fourth quipped: “Oh my god. I had to get up and walk out of the room. My mother was loving it!".
The intimacy co-ordinator who worked on the adaption of Sally Rooney’s hit novel set in Ireland has revealed how the show’s many sex scenes were filmed.
Speaking on Brendan O’Connor's Radio 1 RTE show, Ita O’Brien said: “If you’re doing an intimate scene, the fundamental rule is never ever should their genitalia touch.
“You’ll have the actress wearing a modesty patch and the gentleman wearing a modesty pouch.”

She continued: “What we have in place is the actors are empowered and they have the autonomy to halt the action when filming an intimate scene.
“The actor will have a safe word to halt the action and share it with the crew, and if anything happens through the take that isn’t comfortable or they need to take a break they need to call out to halt the action themselves.”
The BBC Three show has become a smash hit with a loyal following and has been downloaded over 23 million times.
