The picture was a part of the viral Meat20 trend, where people post pictures of themselves when they were entering their 20's.
Nayyar's effort saw him slouching against a sofa clutching a guitar.
Giving off the hipster, vintage look, Nayyar was soon flooded with compliments.
He confirmed that the snap was inspired by the movie Dil Chahta Hai (What the Heart Wants) – a romantic Bollywood movie that had been released in 2001.
He has been sharing words of affirmation during lockdown in a bid to keep people's spirits up.
He now resides in the US and is self-isolating after travelling the world since the end of The Big Bang Theory.
The Meat20 trend started as a result of the lockdown, in a bid to keep people occupied and entertained at their former selves.
Nayyar has had his own TV show's production suspended since the COVID-19 virus spread.
His new TV show, Suspicion, is one of the projects he's starring in.
He is also set to star alongside Uma Thurman in an intense thriller that sees Thurman go on a mission to rescue her son after he's abducted.
The Big Bang Theory is available to stream on Netflix.
